BIAKS Remembers Kate Spade

The Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, Kate Spade. Kate was an early supporter in raising awareness about living with brain injury when her high school classmate Amy Thompson was injured in 1986.

Over the course of two decades, Kate helped raise over $300,000 to benefit survivors throughout the state of Kansas and Greater Kansas City area.

Most recently, Kate helped bring attention to traumatic brain injury at the March 2016 Frances Valentine launch event at Halls Kansas City.

Our heart goes out to Kate’s family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.
