BIAA HOME : Kansas City Chief Mitch Morse Taps BIAKS as His Charity

Kansas City Chief Mitch Morse Taps BIAKS as His Charity

NFL players will raise funds for the causes that are important to them during week 13 games, as part of the NFL’s My Cause, My Cleats campaign. More than 500 players are planning to showcase their causes on-field during games, and many have worked directly with Nike, Under Armour and Adidas to design their cleats, which will arrive in locker rooms soon. The cleats will be worn on-field during Week 13 games.

Chiefs Center Mitch Morse has selected the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City (BIAKS) as the charity he supports. Mitch served as the BIAKS honorary Walk for Thought Chair for the 2018 Going the Distance for Brain Injury Memorial Day Run. His understanding of traumatic brain injury stems from living with his younger brother who suffered a TBI as a baby when the babysitter violently shook him,
Mitch and his teammates will wear their decorated cleats for the Dec. 9 home again against the Ravens.  After the game, all the cleats will be auctioned off online with proceeds benefiting the charity selected by each player. A special My Cause, My Cleats themed television spot has begun airing on NFL games and will continue through Dec. 9.

Additionally, a charitable ticket program for the Dec. 9 game also will raise funds for the selected charities. $10 from every ticket sold will go to the players’ charities.

Tickets, ranging from $75 for field-level tickets to $35 for the upper level, can be purchased through Mitch’s website--   BIAKS will receive $10 from each ticket sold. Share your reservation link with friends and family and if you sell the most tickets, you’ll  have an opportunity to meet Mitch.

“One of the great NFL traditions is how our players passionately support important causes in their communities and around the globe every year,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.  “They are incredibly creative by nature so we are not surprised how they are seizing the opportunity this week with inspiring expressions of their charitable commitments on their cleats, online and through social media.”

Discounted tickets also are available for the following home games:
Dec. 13- Chargers--7 pm
Dec. 30- Raiders-noon
