Kansas City Chief Mitch Morse Taps BIAKS as His Charity

02-Oct-2018

Chiefs Center Mitch Morse has selected the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City (BIAKS) as the charity he supports. Mitch served as the BIAKS honorary Walk for Thought Chair for the 2018 Going the Distance for Brain Injury Memorial Day Run. His understanding of traumatic brain injury stems from living with his younger brother who suffered a TBI as a baby when the babysitter violently shook him, www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/vahe-gregorian/article186153328.html.

Mitch and his teammates wore their decorated cleats for the Dec. 9 home again against the Ravens.  Just in time for the playoff games, Mitch's bright blue cleats with the Brain Injury logo are currently on the NFL auction site.To bid go to

“One of the great NFL traditions is how our players passionately support important causes in their communities and around the globe every year,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.  “They are incredibly creative by nature so we are not surprised how they are seizing the opportunity  with inspiring expressions of their charitable commitments on their cleats, online and through social media.”
