BIAA HOME : September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month

September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month

03-Sep-2020

Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City celebrates Falls Prevention Awareness Month.
While older adults and young children are at highest risk groups for sustaining traumatic brain injury (TBI) due to falls, everyone is at risk. The good news is that many falls can be prevented. Parents and caregivers can play a key role in protecting children, while adults can take proactive measures to reduce their risks.

We support the implementation, dissemination, and sustainability of evidence-based falls prevention programs and strategies to reduce the incidence of falls.

Explore these resources from the CDC to learn more and use hashtag #FallsFree on social media to help raise awareness.
