Annual Conference for Professionals Beyond Rehab: Succeeding at Life

Our annual conference for professionals who work with people following a brain injury will take place March 29-30, 2012. The emphasis of this conference is to present information about the process of rehabilitation, including life in the community. Our keynote speakers are Dr. Kim Hoovegeen, co-founder of QLI in Omaha, and Dr. Randy Nudo, Director of Landon Center on Aging at University of Kansas Medical Center. Ten CEUs have been approved for the following professions: Physical Therapy (Kansas), Occupational Therapy (Kansas), Nursing (Kansas), Speech Language Pathology, Certified Rehab Counselors, and Social Workers. If you would like to be included on the mailing list for these seminars, please complete the “Contact Us’ form.

Certified Brain Injury Specialist

Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) is a national certification program that establishes best practices for the training of individuals working with this population. Because of the wide variety of unique skills and knowledge required of those who treat persons with brain injury, certification is designed to address specific training issues in brain injury services and to complement other existing credentials.  For information, please visit Academy of Brain Injury Specialists
