Michelle’s Story

When I was 18 years old, I was the passenger in a vehicle involved in a car accident. I was ejected through the windshield. I wasn’t diagnosed with a TBI until 2016 and my accident was in 1988.

I made my mask with lots of sparkle and glitter to show how thankful I was to finally be diagnosed with a TBI and to be able to get the services and help that I need. I also added the names of my children because I was able to raise all 4 of them after I got my brain injury in the car accident.
