PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

In 2021 and 2022 BIAKS-GKC will present a series of conferences for healthcare professionals who work with people following a brain injury.

Conferences will include: October 8 in Wichita, Kansas,  Nov. 5 – one-day virtual event and March 24 & 25, 2022– two-day  event in Overland Park.

Sessions will be of interest to a range of professionals including physical therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, social workers, cognitive rehabilitation therapists, case managers, life care planners, vocational rehabilitation specialists, neuropsychologists, counselors, mental health professionals, physicians, special education teachers, and others who serve individuals with brain injuries and their families.

The  conferences will cover current trends, research and therapy techniques, as well as personal stories from individuals with brain injuries. Participants can earn up to 13 hours of Continuing Education Credit (CEU). For more information or to register click below:

Professional Membership – Open to anyone who has an interest in supporting BIAKS-GKC. Annual membership dues are considered a donation and help BIAKS-GKC fund programs and services.
