On Monday, January 27th, the White House budget office ordered a pause on grants, loans, and other forms of federal financial assistance. On Wednesday, January 29th, the Office of Management and Budget issued a memo rescinding all funding pauses. Our concern now becomes future, more targeted funding freezes.
We need YOU to take action to prevent further disruptions to the programs our community relies on. Please contact your members of Congress and urge them to:
✅ Recognize that federally funded programs are a lifeline for the brain injury community and that funding freezes would be devastating.
✅ Ensure that Congress takes a stand to prevent future federal actions that could jeopardize these essential programs.
✅ Require that any proposed funding freezes include meaningful discussions with the brain injury and disability communities to fully assess potential impacts.
Together, we can protect critical funding and ensure that life-changing programs continue to serve those in need. Please use the following link to ensure your voice is heard!
